As per Department of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Punjab (Government of Punjab) notification no. 13/60/08-ITE2/3797 dated 27.08.08 based on AICTE Guidelines, ten percent additional seats are available in first year of B.Tech courses under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme for women, economically backward and physically handicapped meritorious students as per details below :

NOTE :

Only the residents of Punjab will be eligible for admission under this scheme.
Under the economically weaker category, the students whose parents� income from all sources is less than 2.5 lac, are eligible. The candidate will have to produce the income certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar.
The physically handicapped category students will be considered for admission only if they produce a medical certificate issued by the concerned civil surgeon.
In the event of non availability of students in a specific category as above, the benefit will be given to any other candidate of other category according to merit.
The interested students should submit the applications on prescribed performa available on college website http://www.rimtengg.com latest by 24.06.2009 and obtain receipt as a proof of submission of form.
The counseling will be held in college campus on 26.06.2009 at 10.00 A.M.
The students are advised to bring the original certificates at the time of counseling

The Governor is pleased to accord admission to the B.Tech. courses under tuition fee waiver scheme for Women, economically and physically handicapped meritorious students, as per the Punjab Govt. Notification No. 13/60/08-ITE2/3797, dated 27.08.2008. The counseling for admission shall be held as per the following schedule: Only Residents of Punjab (in terms of Punjab Government Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (PP II Branch) letter No. 1/3/95-3PPII/9619m dated 6th June 1996) will be eligible for admission under this scheme.

Under Economically Backward category, family income of parents of applicant should not be more than 2.5 Lacs per annum. Applicant should submit Income Certificate issued only by the concerned Tehsildar/Executive Magistrate with office number and seal. No other certificate / affidavit etc. shall be accepted.

The applicant should submit Certificate of Physically Handicapped as per the Punjab Govt. guidelines.
The applicant must present himself/herself in person at the time of counselling and deposit fee Rs. 8500/-, Rs.7500/- (approx.) for Hosteller and Day-Scholar respectively, if the family income of the applicant is up to Rs.2.50 Lakh. Rs. 23,000/- (approx.) be deposited, if family income is above Rs. 2.50 Lakh at the time of admission (for dayscholars).
Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Maths as compulsory subjects and Chemistry / Biologoy / Computer Sc. as optional subject in addition to CET merit (CET- 2009) will be considered for this admission.
The applicants should come with original certificates at the time of admission.

(A) Direct Admission Under Fee Waiver Scheme For B. TECH/B.ARCH (2008-2009 Session)

The Governor of Punjab is pleased to accord admission to the B. Tech./ B.Arch. Admission to the following vacant seats in the reserved categories in the various branches of B.Tech. and B.Arch. shall also be held on September 11, 2008 after the Admission under category `A` above.

(C) ADMISSION FOR VACANT SEATS (GENERAL CATEGORY)

Counselling for admission to some vacant seats in the general category in the various branches of B.Tech. and B.Arch. shall be held as per the following schedule:

The seats falling vacant in `B` category above shall be de-reserved and offered to the general category candidates. The actual number of seats available in each branch shall be notified before the beginning of the Counselling.

General Note:

Last Date of Receipt of Applications for categories A and B is September 10, 2008 by 5:00 P.M and the Date of Counselling is September 11, 2008 at 10:00 A.M.

Last Date of Receipt of Applications for category C is September 11, 2008 by 5:00 P.M and the Date of Counselling is September 12, 2008 at 10:00 A.M.

The order of preference for admission shall be as follows: i) CET ii) AIEEE iii) 10+2 pass with Non Medical subjects

Eligibility for admission to B.Arch. : 10+2 (with Math and English) with 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for reserve category or 3 year diploma recognized by Centre/ State Govt, with 50% marks, and NATA score. Merit will be prepared in a ratio of 50:50 of qualifying exam and NATA.

The application form may be obtained from the Reception Counter of the College free of cost.

The candidate must present himself in person at the time of counseling and deposit fee of Rs. 42,000/- approx. at the time of admission under category B&C.

The candidate will have to submit original documents at the time of counseling.
