Sahitkar Sadan held Literary Meet with Dr.A.S.Sikka

Sahitkar Sadan, a literary wing of  Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle organised a literary meet with a renowned author and poet Dr.Ajit Singh Sikka. S.Partap Singh, Deputy Chief Organiser welcomed Dr.Sikka and other writers. Dr.Sikka narrated his life experiences and literary works. Dr. Sikka recalled his school days when he used to learn Urdu and Pershian and it was only after 1947 when he learnt Punjabi. He was head of Punjabi Department at S.N.College, Banga.

Dr. Sikka authored total 47 boooks which consists three epics "Science te Dharam", "Ruhani Paras" and "Jangli Phul", about ten Punjabi poetry books, three volumes of poetry in English (Atlantic Publishers, Delhi), Lyrics and songs, four English novels and one Punjabi novel "Mera Astitav" whose preface is written by Sahit Academy recipient Prof. N.S.Tasneam.

Those present included Principal Prem Singh Bajaj, Novelist J.S.Aman, Principal Dhanwant Singh Mullanpur, Prof.Balwinderpal Singh, Director, H.S.Khalsa, President Ludhiana Zone, Jaspal Singh, Zonal Seretary, Surjit Singh Lohia, an eminent social worker, Dr.D.S.Grewal Principal B.M.S.Engg.College, Muktsar, Er.J.S.Kohli, Jagjit Singh. Charanjit Singh Doshi, Gurnam Singh Komal, BibiAmrit Kaur.

Dr.Sikka answered the quarries of audience and highlighted the importance of early rising, meditation and literary pursuits. Dr. Sikka was honored by Sadan with a memento and Siropao.
