Literature can not be engineered but an engineer by Profession can certainly be a successful writer.

A literary meet was arranged by Sahitkar Sadan, a literary wing of Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle which was attended by renowned writers. Sharing his life experiences, D.M.Singh said, he was born at Ambala in 1948 and he did his M.B.A. from symbiosis Pune to get latest knowledge to do better service. He used to write and recite poems at the age of ten. He was secretary "Poetry Group' at Thaper C.O.E. Patiala where he would put notices in poetry to invite poems from the students. Prof B.V. Raman trained the students in 'poetry truths'. His short stories were first published in Punjabi daily JathedarNewspaper. Literature always kept him high spirits.
It was like a fountain or natural stream when poetry in him took an uprising after meeting with Pritam Singh Safeer at Ludhiana in 1993. His first collection of Poetry "Preet Di Lore" was published in 1994. His first collection of short stories "Jeevan Deep" was published in 2006.
