Teachers Honoured

Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle (GGSSC) honored 200 Teachers/ Professors/Principals of schools and colleges where GGSSC units are functioning.

S. Satnam Singh Sallopuri, Director, Youth Services said that the purpose of this function is to encourage the Teachers/Professors/Principals so that they continue their efforts to instill human and moral values in the students with more zeal and passion. He said that the teachers play an important role in the character building of the students as a school going child interact a lot more with a teacher than the parents.
Manjit Kaur, Deputy D.E.O, Ludhiana said that Teaching is like no other profession. As a teacher, you will wear many hats. She named a few of the roles teachers have to play i.e. a communicator, a disciplinarian, a conveyor of information, an evaluator, a classroom manager, a counselor, a member of many teams and groups, a decision-maker, a role-model and a surrogate parent.
Speaking on the personality development aspect, S. Hari Singh, Principal (Retd.), GNE College said that the personality refers to the pattern of psychological and behavioral characteristics that distinguish each person from everyone else. It plays an important role in ones life as it gives the individual all that is needed, for his unique adjustment in his environment.

Pr. Ram Singh, Chief Organizer, GGSSC briefed the gathering about the activities carried out by the organization. He said that GGSSC is working hard to eradicate social evils and to strive for the upliftment of the moral character and values of the society with a special work emphasis on the literate youth in schools and colleges. He said that its activities in schools/colleges have been recognized by various Universities and D.P.I Schools/Colleges.
