51 students honoured under Kes Pyar Mohim

Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle in association with Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Model Town, Ludhiana awarded cash prizes of Rs. 1100 each to those students, who vowed to restore their shorn hair and to maintain the sanctity of hair in future.

Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle initiated "Kes Pyar Muhim" two years back. Under this drive, around 5000 students vowed to abide by the tenets of Sikhism and promised to keep unshorn hair. As many as 51 students from Nankana Sahib Public School, Fatehgarh Jattan, Guru Nanak Public School, Bassian, Baba Isher Singh Public School, Ramgarhia Sr. Sec. School, Nankana Sahib Public School, Maloud School and Bahadurgarh School of Ludhiana were selected and awarded with the cash prizes of Rs. 1100 each. .

Speaking at this occasion, S. Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal (Ex. Cabinet Minister & President of Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Model Town, Ludhiana) said that the finances of Gurdwara Sahibs are utilized in creating more & more infrastructure for the Gurdwara Sahib, however, the need of the day is to use this money to channelize our youth towords the right direction. He appreciated the selfless work carried out by Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle and promised all possible support from his side in the future. S. Joginder Singh Sadana, S. Balbir Singh, Dr. Darshan Singh, Dr. Charan Kamal Singh, Chief Secretary, Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, S. Satnam Singh, Director, Youth Services, S.Prabhjot Singh, Add. Zonal Secretary, Kendri Zone, S.Iqbal Singh, S.Harinder Singh, Dr. Tejinderpal Singh, S.Gurpinder Singh, S.Gursharan Singh, Sargodha Colony were also present on the occasion
