Motorcycle Rally Dedicated to World Peace

Ludhiana 28th May 2006? I have befriended all; unto all I am a friend.? 400 sikh youthmotorcyclists, wearing T- Shirts with this message of peace written across them carrying placards marched towards Akal Takhat.

This? WORLD PEACE MARCH? was taken out by Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle to spread the message of tolerance, peace, friendship and brotherhood as enshrined in Guru Granth Sahib. This was disclosed by Dr. Charan Kamal Singh, Chief Secretary of Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle. The march was received by Head Granthi of Darbar Sahib at Harmander Sahib at 3.00 pm today. All the marchers offered prayers for the World peace and dedicated themselves to this cause. Earlier in the day, the march was flagged off by S. Raja Singh of Texla TV. SGPC members, Presidents of Secretaries of Gurudwaras, Istri Sat Sang Sabhas were present to see them off. The beautifully decorated palanquin carrying Sri Guru Granth Sahib led the march followed by five beloved ones? Panj Piyaras.

The march was warmly welcomed by people at Phagwara, Jalandhar, Raiya, Jandiala Guru where snacks and drinks were also served. The pamphlets and pocket calendars carrying the message of peace & universal brotherhood of Guru Granth Sahib was distributed by marchers enroute. The motor cyclists were honoured at Sri Akal Takht by danglers and certificates for participation in the march.
