Khalsai Games? were organized in Sri Damdama Sahib dedicated to the 3rd centenary of Completion of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Apart from Gatka and other traditional games, foot ball, kabaddi, hockey, tug of war and other such games were also included in this event. Players from all over the country participated in this with great enthusiasm. Baba Deep Singh Academy of Marshall Arts, GGSSC also took part in these games.

On the last day, S. Ravinder Singh, Director, Baba Deep Singh Academy held a meeting with Gatka professionals to discuss for collaboratively developing future strategies to promote gatkha on international stages and explained his work plan for the same. S. Ranjit Singh (Patiala), S. Jagjit Singh (Jallandhar), S. Avtaar Singh (Punjabi University, Patiala ), S. Gurpreet Singh (Amritsar) and Sahibzada Zoravar Singh Gatkha Academy also joined the meeting to frame policies on the future prospects of this traditional art.
