Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle celebrated the 350th birth anniversary of 8th Guru, Sri Guru Harkrishan Ji as "Sewa Diwas". Observing this day, 41 hospitals, orphanages and old age homes were visited and prayers were performed for the wellbeing of the patients. Fruits, biscuits and religious literature were distributed among 1950 patients including 400 patients at Christian Medical College (CMC), Ludhiana. Dr. Charan Kamal Singh, Chief Secretary, Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle said that every year our organization observe this day as "Sewa Diwas". He said that when swear epidemic of cholera and small pox broke out in Delhi, Sri Guru Harkrishan Ji served the people irrespective of their cast and creed. He said that according to "Sikhism" sewa is not mere compassion or charity towards other; it is no less then worship of the Lord. He asserted that we all should reach out and comfort and uplift those who are less fortunate than us.
