Bhai Samund Singh Gurmat Sangeet Academy, Hoshiarpur organized ? Gurmat Sangeet Training Camp? at Guru Nanak Senior Secondary School from 5th to 25th June, 06. Around 116 students got themselves enrolled in this camp and learned? Gurmat Sangeet? in various Ragas like? Sarang? ? kaliyan? Bhairavi? ? Bilawal? ? Todi? etc. The beginners were taught with the basic? Sargams? of Harmonium. Tabla training has also been provided to the interested students. In the closing session on 25th June, the students performed? Shabad Gayan? on stage. S. Jatinder Pal Singh, Founder Member, GGSSC said that kirtan is the best remedy in today? s circumstances where the world is full of hatred, corruption and the other social-evils.

Stressing on the importance of? Kirtan? , Prof. Balwinder Pal Singh, Editor,? Sada Virsa ada Gourav? said that? Kirtan? produce a feeling of the super conscious and link human consciousness with the? Supreme Reality? . He said that all? Sikh Gurus? propagated the message of love and peace through? Kirtan? . S. Balpreet Singh, Secretary Gurmat Sangeet Directorate, managed the stage on this occasion. S. Satnam Singh, Prin. Nirmal Singh coordinated for the successful implementation of this camp.
